Today’s Friday is my day belongs to Iris from Piece of Cake. Let’s see how she spends it!

Hello world! My name is Iris, I’m the owner and designer of ‘Piece Of Cake’.
I am 20 years old and I study Architecture in Crete, an island in Greece.
It’s my second week off university and I’m staying at my parent’s house in Athens.
Τhis is my holidays’ Friday, you are welcome in my house!
11 am – Wake up! It’s still a day off.
OK, I know most of you wake up at 6-8 am tops.
But! In my defence I am a full time student so when I get the chance to sleep, I sleep.
First things first, so I’m going straight to the kitchen to make my special capuccino with extra cinnamon!
Perfect way to start the day. I realize, there is a plate on the kitchen bench waiting for me.
My caring grandma made me some chocolate truffles. Inspiration for the day-CHECK!
12 pm – 2 pm – Everything under control
Ι check my emails, my Etsy shop, my Facebook page etc etc.
Ι love it when I read your comments on my work, I want to communicate with you as much as I can!
Running a business – even if it’s online – is not a piece of cake!
3 pm – 7 pm – Time to work
After lunch, it’s time to start processing orders. At this house, I use the kitchen table as a workbench.
It has a bright white color very confortable for my eyes.
Since I work with miniatures, my eyes have become really sensitive.
At least during the holidays season I had and elf (my daddy!) to help me out with his skills.
Making miniature food takes a lot of time and patience but I really enjoy it.
It’s a challenge for your will to make something nice out of blocks of clay.
7 pm – 9 pm – Express yourself!
During the day, everybody needs to spend sometime doing the things they like.
So here is me, taking care of my beautiful cat, chatting with my beloved brother,
playing some music and meeting with friends.
No one can call themselves an artist if they stay at home all day long.
You need to get out, see what’s up with the world, gain experience out of this!
10 pm – Relax!
If I’m not downtown to see some friends, I sit around the fireplace with my family.
Our living room is very cozy and we don’t get to spend time together very often,
so when we can we try to make the most out of it.
After the three of them (dad-mum-brother) have gone to bed, I get back to business.
Check everything again, you may have missed something because of the time difference!
2 am – Finally!
Most of the days I’m working until late, but even if I don’t I sleep around 2-3 am.
Of course, I get to bed exhausted. I always think about my day; did I do anything new today?
Did I see people I love? Was the day remarkable?
When I get more ‘yes-es’ I sleep well.
